This year we have a unique window of opportunity to help pass a bill that would accelerate the release of $1 billion to reclaim abandoned coal mines in communities impacted by the toxic legacy of coal mining.

The RECLAIM Act supports mountain communities by creating jobs and cleaning up dangerous former mine sites — and it does it all without using a cent of taxpayer money. The funding would come from the $2.5 billion Abandoned Mine Land Fund currently sitting in Washington.
