It is amazing to see the power of big coal. They can start an advertising campaign to convince West Virginians that they should be a “friend” to coal. Then control the government with their big coal money and big coal jobs. I love and respect every miner in America. I just think there are better, safer and more humane ways to take advantage of what has been given to us.

I have just become aware of what is going on in your beautiful Appalachian mountains……via an article in The Guardian newspaper. I Google Earthed the area, then came to your group via the global awareness network.I am stunned, it is beyond belief what is happening to the environment there.
I also read that the company is now to build a silo only 100m from the school.
The dam issue is huge……could the company at least be lobied to pay for the relocation of the school in the meantime….. before a tragedy happens?
