Take Action: Congressional Hearing Attacks EPA’s Regulation of Mountaintop Removal
This Wednesday, the House Subcommittee on Water Resources will hold the second part of an industry-biased hearing titled “EPA Mining Policies: Assault on Appalachian Jobs.”
Despite growing evidence about the negative environmental and human health impacts of mountaintop removal, the voices of impacted Appalachian residents, scientific researchers and health experts will not be heard.
This week’s hearing will feature industry allies who support the gutting EPA’s protections for clean water– and just a single EPA official.
Raise your voice along with the people of Appalachia; ask the Committee leadership to listen to the peoples’ side of the story.
