We are all in the world together. I am from Canada where there are ongoing fights to protect our environment. Our Alberta Tar Sands is another environmental disaster just for short term gain.
I love W>V> and apalachians; we have spent $$$ to visit this area of the world and strongly believe it must be protected.

Destroying the environment is too high a price for the mining of coal. That is it. I am ready to petition, protest, and fight to stop the further destruction of Appalachia. I was born in Rock Creek, WV on Coal River 1949. I detest the large conglomerations that rape the land.

The deregulation crowd and tea mob scream about improper exercise of EPA veto power. Mostly it seems like a delayed use of a power they rarely utilize. But refresh my memory… didn’t S. Griles, former no. 2 at Interior, coal lobbyist and now convicted criminal, have some involvement in getting the Corps permit approved? If so, it would add to the suspicion that the original permit was wrongly granted.

I am from w.v. I now live in s.c. the river i live on is poluted from coal burning power plant.there are signs at boat landings telling you not to eat any fish out of it. they were going to build a nouther one on a other river but epa stop it.when i flue in to huntington last year i saw the mtr it looks like the moon just could not beleve what i saw.KEEP ON FIGHTIN FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE MOUNTAINS .
