From the side that supports this though-expect them to diss the science as being “not rigorous enough” or some such thing.

They have done a good job at discrediting science on many fronts, from the dangers of tobacco, to “climate change/global warming.”

Many people who are hurt by such things as all of these out of lack of knowledge or whatever–hate science–they don’t trust it—they dismiss anything of this sort as “the socialists trying to take away my God given freedoms.”

The big money interests don’t need to hire thugs to bash heads anymore like they did back in the dark days of Matewan, Blair Mountain, etc.–they use well developed propaganda machines to get average Joes and Janes to be the footsoliders of their efforts to “maintain the status quo.”

I hope that the Obama adminstration will act to end this practice–but I would not hold your breath-sorry to be so cynical about it as I am!
