I’ve seen it happen before. I think Blair Mtn. should be saved for those who appreciate what the miners have done…

It’s time for Charleston to stop having their pissing contests and GET THINGS DONE. End MTR!

I lived there for many a year and still think of the times that I roamed the hills and played in the forests.

I don’t live there now but I still share my early life with my kids and grandchildren. We look at pictures and I tell them stories of my hillbilly life.

Now i look at pictures of the devastation and mutilation of the land that God created and wonder how mankind can be so ignorant.

We were given the task of controlling and looking after the beauty of this world and look what has happened, greed for wealth has over shadowed the sense of our government. We have become so smart that we cannot see what is going on. Money changes the rulings of law, with no thought as to what is really right or wrong.

Once an area has been designated as a historical site it should take an act of congress to change it. But no, it only takes money in the right place and then the law means nothing.

We just need to replace those that are in government with people that have honest hearts and are willing to stand up for what is right. We must not give up, truth will win out but not till we stand firm.

God Bless America.

I cannot believe the government and more people across this country are not having a fit about such beautiful wilderness being destroyed. Where are all these so called conservationists and environmentalists when you need them. Better yet, where are you Obama? If this continues forget about a whole way of life this country was founded on. Forget America and the peoples rights. If this were happening in my mountains in Pennsylvania I guarantee these companies would have a hell of a time keeping up with lost equipment. What a shame this country has turned into for money, no care for there own people anymore, so why should WE care about THEM?

How will we explain to the children why they have to have their water trucked in or the mountains there families lived and died on are gone? Please protect Blair Mtn and the people of Mid-Appalachia.
